Hand Operated Direct-on-Line Mini Motor Starter
Bentex - SKN Manually Operated Motor Starter meets the need for high reliability in both industrial and agricultural applications. They are designed for DOL switching of A/C motors up to 10 HP (7.5 kw) at 415V, 3 phase and offer comprehensive motor protection against overload, single phasing and unbalanced voltage in accordance with IS: 13947 Part 4 Sec 1993

The starter unit comprises of a double break, three pole, on load switch operated by means of a toggle link mechanism. Adjustable bimetal thermal overload trips are included which can be set to follow closely the heating characteristics of the motor. The stop push and overload trips act at the toggle anchor which provides a free handle movement (i.e., the depression of the start push does not operate the switch if the stop push is depressed simultaneously or if the overload trip element have not reset after tripping.)

The fixed contacts are formed of silver cadmium oxide tips. The moving contacts are of silver cadmium oxide and are spring loaded.

These starters, have deep drawn sheet steel enclosure suitably treated for tropical conditions are provided with dust including gasket. The push buttons are sturdy and robust. The starter can be mounted with easily removable front cover. For wiring the starter assembly can be easily brought out by loosening screws of lower base plate. Rubber knockouts are provided for cable entires at convenient positions.

Mounting
The starter is available for surface or flush mounting. For surface mounting the interior unit is enclosed in dust protecting deep drawn sheet steel case having a removable cover and knock out for 20mm conduit at top and bottom.

The flush mounting version comprises of the interior unit attached to a face plate. The interior units recessed into the machine frame.
